Description
The Plasencia Reserva Original Nestico is a 4 1/2 x 36 petit panatela, which smokes in about 40 minutes and works much like a lancero at half the length. It is made entirely from tobacco certified by the Organic Crop Improvement Association, with an oily Nicaraguan wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. The blend uses Cuban seed tobacco, aged for five years after fermentation.
The profile is mild to medium, with cream, toasted almonds, cedar and coffee, plus cocoa and marzipan, and a light natural sweetness. A touch of red pepper may show late in the smoke. The thin ring gauge gives a concentrated flavour and a relaxed, even burn.
The Nestico suits a short break, and it is the smallest vitola in the Reserva Original line. It is hand rolled with long filler at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua.
