Plasencia Reserva Original Cortez

Description

The Plasencia Reserva Original Cortez is a 5 3/4 x 56 figurado with a pigtail head, made from the world’s first and only OCIA certified organic cigar tobacco. The wrapper, binder and filler are all Nicaraguan, grown organically on Plasencia’s own farms and aged for an extra five years after fermentation. The Cortez is the largest figurado shape in the Reserva Original line.

The smoke is smooth and balanced, with notes of nuts, fruit and caramel, plus delicate marzipan. A touch of clove, cinnamon and sweet cream shows up along the way, and the finish carries cedar and a long, clean aftertaste. The spice stays subtle, which makes this one of the milder blends in the Plasencia range.

The tapered figurado shape concentrates the flavour toward the head, and the 56 ring gauge gives a cool, dense smoke of about 50 minutes. It is hand rolled with long filler at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua.
