Description
The Plasencia Alma Fuerte Robustus II is a 5 1/8 x 55 Nicaraguan puro with a Jalapa Colorado Claro wrapper that has been aged for ten years. The binder and filler are Nicaraguan and come from Plasencia’s own estates, and the blend relies mainly on Criollo leaf. The lighter wrapper lets the aged core show through, so this is the smoother, more approachable side of the Alma Fuerte family.
The smoke opens with cream, cedar and roasted peanut, with white pepper and earth. Leather, cocoa and a gentle red apple sweetness follow, along with dark roast coffee and sweet spice. The finish carries oak, toast and a touch of black pepper, and the profile stays balanced and smooth throughout.
The 55 ring gauge produces dense smoke and a cool draw, with a smoking time of about 35 to 45 minutes. It is hand rolled with long filler at the Plasencia factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
