Plasencia Alma del Campo Travesia

Description

The Plasencia Alma del Campo Travesia is a 6 1/2 x 54 Toro Extra made entirely from Cuban seed Nicaraguan tobacco that the Plasencia family grows and ages itself. A milk chocolate coloured Nicaraguan wrapper covers Criollo seed binder and filler. The strength is pulled back from the Alma Fuerte, so the blend is more approachable.

The smoke opens with sweet cedar, leather and fresh bread, with a hint of raisin on the cold draw. Coffee, roasted nuts and vanilla follow, with caramel and cedar moving in and out of the middle. The finish brings leather, cedar and coffee bean, along with a sweet spice that stays in the background.

The long 6 1/2 inch length and 54 ring gauge give a slow, creamy burn with an exquisite draw, and a smoke of about an hour or more. It is hand rolled with long filler at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua.
