Plasencia Alma del Campo Madroño

Description

The Plasencia Alma del Campo Madroño is a 6 1/2 x 58 Gordo made from aged Nicaraguan tobacco grown on the Plasencia family farm. Alma del Campo means “soul of the field,” and the blend is a Nicaraguan puro with wrapper, binder and filler all grown in Nicaragua. The strength is pulled back from the Alma Fuerte, which gives a smooth, balanced profile for a medium bodied smoker.

The smoke opens with coffee, cedar and a little white pepper, with a creamy texture. Roasted peanuts and vanilla build through the middle, and sweet spice and a touch of leather follow. The finish stays smooth and warm, with cocoa and earth.

The 58 ring gauge produces dense, cool smoke, and a smoke takes about an hour and a half or more. The cigar draws easily and burns evenly, and it is hand rolled with long filler at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua.
