E.P. Carrillo Pledge Apogee is a bold, box-pressed 6 1/4 x 58 Gordo handcrafted in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera La Alianza. The Apogee extends the acclaimed Pledge blend into a broad, slow-smoking format that offers a richer, longer presentation of its Connecticut Habano-forward character.

A dark and oily USA-grown Connecticut Habano wrapper covers an Ecuadorian binder and Nicaraguan long fillers. The blend delivers full flavour with balanced strength, combining the wrapper’s dark sweetness and pepper with the earthiness, coffee character and natural richness of its Nicaraguan tobacco core.

Expect an evolving profile of black pepper, cedar, earth, espresso, dark chocolate, cocoa, licorice and roasted nuts, supported by subtle sweetness and a creamy finish. The opening is peppery and woody, followed by richer chocolate-and-coffee flavours through the middle, before settling into a long, full-bodied finish that remains smooth rather than harsh.
