Arturo Fuente Don Carlos No. 2 cigars showcase rare vintage Dominican tobaccos selected and aged for as long as 10 years by Carlos Fuente Sr. Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, this medium to full bodied 5 7/8 x 55 Torpedo is finished with a rich African Cameroon wrapper over aged Dominican binder and long filler tobaccos.
The naturally sweet Cameroon wrapper delivers a refined profile of cedar, toasted almond, cocoa and baking spice. Vintage Dominican tobaccos provide a creamy core of roasted chestnut, espresso, oakwood and leather, while the tapered Torpedo head concentrates the smoke and allows for a precise cut. Its broad 55 ring gauge opens into a dense, aromatic smoke that balances rich flavour with the elegant character associated with the Don Carlos line.
The cigar begins with cedar, roasted nuts and gentle black pepper before developing coffee bean, cocoa, oakwood and leather. Sweet cream, floral notes and a subtle citrus brightness emerge through the middle, followed by a long finish of chestnut, espresso, sweet spice and natural tobacco sweetness. Arturo Fuente Don Carlos No. 2 pairs particularly well with espresso, aged rum, bourbon, tawny port or a mature single malt Scotch whisky.
