The Partnership
A true house blend built from the ground up.
Cigars and Stripes is the direct-to-consumer home of the Cigar Chief × Escobar Cigars collaboration, bringing shopping, education, and premium cigar culture together in one place.
“This isn’t a private label — it’s a true house blend. Four distinct profiles, one house identity, and craftsmanship well ahead of typical bundle programs.”
-Matthew Greenwood

Abe Flores is the founder of PDR Cigars and one of the Dominican Republic’s most respected master blenders. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised partly on his family’s tobacco farm in the mountains of Bonao, he grew up around the plant before building an early career as a professional musician in the United States.
He entered the cigar trade through online retail, learned the craft factory by factory, and went on to develop the Pinar del Río brand before founding PDR under his own name — earning a place in ProCigar, the Dominican cigar makers’ association. Known for his signature use of Piloto Cubano filler and an artist’s eye for construction and balance, Flores approaches blending as a creative discipline.
